December Adventures

December has been a good month and a bad month.  December 10th we found out we are having a girl and couldn't be more excited!  Monday, the 17th, I woke up not feeling well and I was like " Scott I'm going to barf".... and I rarely barf.  Well,  I fell asleep and woke up an hour later and barfed, a lot!  From Monday to Friday I could barely hold anything in.  My sister told me to eat Lipton Noodle Soup and I must say, it is pretty dang good!  I lost a good amount of weight.  I was really worried to drive across the desert being sick but I kept my food down all Saturday and I have  still kept it down.  It was a bad virus.  I don't know how some pregnant people barf during their whole pregnancy.  One week with a virus about did me in.  I can't eat Hibachi Grill anymore.  Well, at least not right now.  That was the last thing that came up and it was horrible.  I am so glad I have had a good pregnancy so far.

Saturday, the 22nd, Scott and I woke up at 3:20 and got on the road to California.  The weather wasn't bad until we got to Fernley and then Scott had to take over the wheel.  We hit the storm when we got to Cabelas on the west side of Reno.  We got to Truckee and waited for 45 minutes before they let another group of cars go over the pass.  There are a bunch of idiots who were on the mountain with us.  When there is 6 plus inches of snow on the road you should take a chill pill and just drive safe but not everyone understands that.  It took us 11 hours to get to my parents house.  It wasn't that bad.  Scott was also a trooper letting me stop every couple of hours to stretch and go to the bathroom.  He loves me!

Our trip home to California was so much fun!  We didn't do anything to crazy, since it rained every day, but we sure enjoyed each others company.  It was fun going to church with my whole family and seeing people I haven't seen in a long time.  Christmas Eve was a blast.  I saw Sara and Rachel which was wonderful.  Scott bought an Ipad.  Merry Christmas to him!  He deserves it.  My mom and sister prepared and awesome dinner.  After dinner we went to go see Desi and take a family picture.  Desirae's tree was sure beautiful!  When we got back to our parents house we opened presents, since my Mom and Joe were scheduled to work Christmas Day.  I actually really enjoyed opening presents Christmas eve because afterwards we relaxed and played games.  Pictionary was so funny!  There was a challenge dice so sometimes we had to draw with our eyes closed or in a continuous line and with the opposite hand.  It was so funny.

Christmas Day we slept in a little longer than we ever do, since we opened presents on Christmas Eve.  We then went to Grandma and Grandpas for Christmas breakfast and then back home to relax and clean up.  Back to Grandma and Grandpas by 3:30 for dinner, presents, and telling stories.  My dad read the story of the Christmas Train and it was really fun to sit around the living room listening to my dad.  My mom never had to go into work and neither did Joe so it was nice to have them there for Christmas.  My dad has us all tell our favorite stories and presents we remembered.  I will admit I wanted to cry a couple of times but held it together.  I just love my family.  We opened presents and then the adults did our white elephant gift exchange.  I had some good presents and I kept getting them stolen from me but I ended up with some awesome knifes, which I need.  We put our hand prints in my Grandparents bathroom which was really fun.  I love my family!  Scott and I hung out a little bit longer then said our good byes so that we could go pack and relax.  The day at Christmas we were back on the road to Utah.  We were worried about going over the pass but it was actually not bad and got really sunny in Truckee.  Winnemucca to Utah was a different story.  It had its moments of bad road.  It took us 12 hours to get home and it was so nice to get out of truck when we got home.  Also, our awesome neighbors shoveled our driveway!  There was a lot of snow at our house so it made unpacking the truck easier since it was shoveled.

We had an amazing month of December and an amazing Christmas vacation.  I love Scott and I appreciate him taking time off work to get me home.  I have missed my family and I am blessed that we have technology and are able to keep in contact easier.  I love you all so much!  See you in February, I will be 30 weeks pregnant so get ready for the belly haha!

It's a GIRL!

Today we found out that we are having a girl!  Our due date is April 19th and it really hit us now that we saw an actual baby inside me and not a blob.  WE ARE HAVING A BABY!  we are so excited.  We haven't picked a name and we haven't really talked much about names but now we will start planning for our little bundle of joy.  She was pretty active during our ultrasound.  She sure wanted us to know she was a girl.  She stuck her tongue out a few times and when the tech was looking at her heart she started to wiggle, she finally stopped long enough for the tech to look at the heart. Before I knew I was pregnant I had a dream I had a baby boy.  At 6 weeks I had another dream about the same baby boy but a month older.  I always thought I would have a boy.  After week 10 I didn't really have a feeling anymore.  These past few weeks I just had a feeling it would be a girl but I would have been happy either way.  I am so excited to see Scott hold his little girl in his arms.  I have a feeling she will wrap her daddy around her little finger when she is born.  I can't believe we are having a girl.  She is such a blessing already and I can't wait for the weeks to come.

16 weeks and 3 days

I had my 16 week appointment today and the baby and I are healthy and moving right along.  The past week I haven't been feeling good but it is worth it!  I love being pregnant and I am excited for this adventure.

Scott and I get to find out what we are having in December!  We are so excited.  My doctor is out of town for my 20 week check up so I am waiting until 21 weeks which is fine with me...  What will one more week hurt.

I am not sure if I have felt the baby move yet.  Sometimes I feel something but not sure if it is the baby or just my stomach. haha but when I do feel the baby and know it, it will be the craziest thing ever!  I can't wait to feel the baby move : )

I am loving maternity jeans!  I just love the stretch, they are super comfy.  (Thanks mom for my pants)

I don't really crave much but certain things just sound better than others.  When I look for new recipes online and I haven't had anything to eat I get sick and want to barf.

The past few days I have been getting a lot of rest.  Which is weird because I usually stay up late and sleep in but I have been going to bed at a normal hour and I wake up at 7ish with Scott and I am up all day.  I get so much done!

I am pregnant!!

Scott and I are so excited to announce that we are having a baby!  I am due April 19th.  I have been very paranoid about this pregnancy (due to a miscarriage in April) but I feel 13 weeks is safe to tell people.  We have seen the baby, heard the heart beat and my awesome neighbor Jenny let us borrow her doppler, so I have actually heard the babies heart beat multiple times.  The heart beat is so soothing!!

Scott and I have been wanting a baby for awhile and I am finally pregnant and couldn't be happier!!

We really want a boy first but if it is a girl we will be just as excited.

No weird cravings.  No barfing.

I have been nauseous and I am tired off and on but things have been good : )

WE ARE PREGNANT AND SO EXCITED!!!

Potatoes

Potatoes are in!  I just started selling potatoes Monday afternoon and today and I am sold out!  I sold for 5 hours yesterday and 4 hours for today and I sold 45 bags.  I love potato season!  I find it can be a small world when you sell potatoes.

I have been meeting Scott for his lunch and he has been helping me set up my sign and he hangs out with me.   I love him!  I am still going to look for a new job but it is hard for me to do so when I make awesome money with potatoes.

My mom is coming into town on Saturday and I can't wait.  Hopefully I don't go broke : )  I have a lot of cleaning to do.  With my dad I can just clean when my mom comes I have to clean just a little bit more.  She doesn't really care but I do get a hug from here when my house is even cleaner than just picked up.

Scott and I have new things brewing in our life and we are excited for the road ahead.  I know I always say this but I just love him!  He is always workin so hard for the both of us and I am so blessed.

ALSO,  I love this time of year!  The trees in the mountains are bright red and the weather is changing.  I love it!  Time for the holidays!!  Pinterest ideas here I come!

Busy Busy

Wow!  I haven't been on here in awhile.  So a lot of things have been going on, I guess that's life.  For the most part though Scott and I just work a lot.  Over the summer though we did go to Disneyland : )  I haven't been since I was little.  All expenses paid by Scott's grandparents.  They are too sweet.  We went with Scott's moms side of the family.  We went to Disneyland, the beach, an Angels game vs. the Giants and the Giants got spanked!  We went to Universal Studios, which was awesome.  They have a transformers ride that was so worth the wait.  It was the coolest ride.  We also went to California Adventure.  We were gone for a week and the morning we were leaving I saw on facebook that my neighbors were being evacuated!  Our mountain view was now on fire.  Luckily my mom was in town so she had a neighbor climb through our garage window and she got our important documents out.  I was so scared.  The fire didn't get to close, thank you super green farm land in between us and the fire.  My brother, who lives 2 miles away from us, was all I was hoping it would get closer so I could stand on my roof and water it down.  He is crazy!  That fire would have to go through a lot of houses to get to his haha.

On July Friday the 13th, my sister had her sweet baby Brooklyn.  She is adorable!  My sister finally has a girl!  My nephews are so happy.  My youngest nephew Noah was a little confused with why she was coming home with them though.  Haha he is a nut!

I turned 24 this year.  I can't believe it.  For my birthday, my parents came out and brought the boat.  When I talked to my dad about it I was so excited.  When I called Josh about it I thought he was going to die!  He was so excited.  We took the boat to Deer Creek.  It was choppy and but people were still wake boarding.  I don't know how they do it.  We must be spoiled by Folsom because we are used to smooth water.  It was still fun.  The cloud started rolling over the mountains and lightning in the distance.  It was crazy watching all these boats head for the docks.  The next thing we know is rain is at the other end of the lake and lightning getting closer.  Luckily, we were up and out of the water but man those boats were flying through the water to get the boats loaded up.

August 1st, I went to California and I had such a blast.  Some of my family I haven't seen in 7 months, like my sister.  It was so good to see my sister and her family.  I love and miss them.  My nephews are just as cute and crazy as ever.  That week I just laid by the pool and went to the lake and just soaked up the sun.  It was hard to leave and get back to work.

I have been teaching myself how to sew and I really enjoy it.  I have also tried to start up an online business.  I have sold some product and I just have to keep it up and I know it will get going.  The website is www.shopyellowdaisy.com  It has been an experience but a good one.

Today I put in my 3 week notice at work.  It is time for me to move on.  It has been a good place for me to work but lately it has been difficult to work with the owner.  I have learned a lot and I am ready for the next job.  I am going to take a few night courses that UVU gives just at local high schools to teach you pretty much whatever.  I am going to keep growing and learning.  I do plan to get back into school and I think it is time.  I am excited for the journey that is ahead of Scott and I and we are going to keep on trucking.  I love him with all my heart and we are very blessed.

More to come!

Oh what fun!

So it's a girl!  I am going to have a NIECE!!!  I am just so excited.  I was praying Jessica would have girl.  I teared up when I found out.  My mom this morning called me and was all I am starting to worry.  She was all I haven't hear from Joe or Jess and they won't answer their phones.  We were worried something might be wrong.  So I start calling and texting the both of them, when I saw my phone starting to receive a picture.  I held it in my hand and then all of a sudden a dress!  I got so emotional!  I am just so excited for my sister!  She called me and said it is definitely a girl.  She was not afraid to show us. haha.  Great!  She is already trouble. : )  I am so glad I work at a Children's Boutique!  I buy my nephews cute stuff but now a Niece!  It is on like donkey kong.

So today at work, I was changing some cribs out with Annette Tatum Crib Bedding that we just got in, and it was a disaster.  The Crib bedding is so cute but I bent over and stood up so fast and hit my head on a Chandelier.  I have a fat not on the back of my head.  It is bad.  First off, this chandelier is so low and isn't over anything so it was bound to happen.  Second, I told Karin to be careful not to hit her head and then I hit it!  I was so dizzy, light headed, and weak so I left work once Kristin showed up.  When I was driving home on Bangerter Highway, which is bumpy especially in a truck, I thought I was going to barf.  It hurt my head so bad.  I am now at home relaxing and still a little dizzy and just exhausted.  Stinking chandelier!  I still love my job.  We got some cute stuff in this week.  I love my job and the people I work with.

Girls night tonight!!  I am so stoked.  I haven't had a girls night in about 2 years.  I am going with Mia and 3 other girls from my neighborhood.  We are going to go see The Vow.  I am so excited to be going out with the girls.

New Jobs

So I still love my job!  I work tons of hours and it's a lot of work but I love it.  We have some cute stuff in our store.  I have a lot to add to the website.  The other day we got in 3 boxes of toys!  It was like Christmas.  I bought these stacker toys,  there are 5 different size spinning things that can stack and they spin forever!  Well, Scott and I were having a contest who can stack all 5 and I won!  Well, Scott was able to do it but then he tried to do it faster and spun the top thing to hard and the spring broke. I'll have to find a picture of the toy.  Our kids better guard their toys, because Scott and I will play with them. haha.  I also got this thing called a Firefly.  It is a stick with a light and wings and then a rubberband part and it shoots in the air.  It is pretty awesome.  Cheap entertainment.

Scott put his two weeks in at Ames.  He has a job offer working for Rhinehart Oil.  We are both pretty excited. He has been working with Rhinehart for a few weeks and the offer is finally on the table!  He will actually be able to take time off without be threatened of losing his job because other people could replace him.  Ames was really good to Scott I am not going to deny that but this job will be more stable, especially with hours.  I will miss his overtime pay though.  But having Scott at home every weekend and we will be on the same work schedule is awesome! I am just so excited.  It is a good change.

Good things are happening and I am so grateful and blessed.  I love Scott so much and I am so grateful for him.

Oopsie Daisy

I love where I work.  I work with 4 other girls ( we are all K names except for one!)  and then the owner is always at work as well.  It is so fun!  I'm just so happy with the job so far.  I am the Inventory Manager and I just hang out in the back room working on the inventory and working on the website.  The owner of Oopsie Daisy is way cool.  His name is Robert and he used to be a CEO for Larry H. Millers company until he retired.  Then he opened San Gelato,  which is a really nice cafe.  Then after he got that up and running he opened Oopsie Daisy, a children's boutique.  Both of his stores are in South Jordan but he is trying to move Oopsie Daisy to either Draper or by the South Town Mall, which would be awesome for business.

So This week was my first week and it has been very busy.  I wake up with Scott every morning at about 6 and make his lunch and breakfast before he leaves for work.  Well... Yesterday I was making Scott a sandwich for lunch and do you know that wire tie on the sandwich bags?  Well I couldn't find it.  I looked every where!!  I finally gave up and then around 2pm I got a text from Scott saying "Could you not find the little wire thing to tie the bread this morning? I found it! The first bite into my sandwich."  HAHA my bad!  I am not use to working.  Scott's life would be boring without me : )   He also sent me a sweet text saying he missed having me at home.  Luckily I get home still at a good hour, but he is used to me being home when he gets home.  I want to be able to stay home and just be a mom, so for the time my job is a good idea so we can save more money.  I love Scott so much!! I do miss being home when he gets home.  Today I am off and I will be here when he gets home with dinner ready!

Oopsie Daisy

Today is my first full day at Oopsie Daisy.  I am the Inventory Manager.  I am excited and nervous.  Only myself and the new Store Manager are the only full time employees.  It will be a lot of fun.  I work with all girls, except for the owner, Rob Avery, and the website worker Bob, who works from home.  All the employees have K names except for one.  The owner thinks it's funny.

So my job is obviously in inventory.  I will be working 50% in the back keeping up on inventory and also 50% working on the website doing inventory for that.  Today, my goal, is too get the back organized.  It is a disaster back there.  I can't wait!  I love to organize.  Also, it will be like Christmas working inventory.  This store has the cutest stuff!  Some items are expensive but a lot of the items are reasonably priced.  I can't wait until the jitters are gone and I can just come to work and know how to do it all.  It will take some time to get comfortable with everything I need to learn but I am ready to kick it in the pants and get it done.  The employees I work with are so fun and easy going.

Now that I am a working women, I am also going to become a working out women again.  I wake up with Scott every morning and get him ready for work so now I am just going to stay up, workout, and then get ready for work.  This year will be a good year.

Christmas Break

This year, for Christmas, we went to California!  It was such an awesome trip.  We just sat and talked with family and friends and it was wonderful.  I couldn't have asked for a better trip.  We saw a few people from Scott's mission and played Awkward Family Photo game with the Almendariz family from Scott's mission.  It was so fun.  We later went out and bought the game.  It usually stays PG but some pictures go straight to crazy! lol.

Christmas Eve, my family went to my sister's new house and it is huge and beautiful!  Christmas Day is a little bit crazier.  We woke up at 6:30 to open presents with the whole family.  Then we go to my grandparents house for breakfast and open presents from our grandparents.  Then we went to church for an hour.  Can I just say I loved church Christmas morning!  When we sang Joy To The World everyone got so into it and it was awesome.

Later that day we went back to my grandparents house to eat dinner, which Scott didn't keep up.  It was bad.  He was all can you take me home so I did.  He just needed a breather.  So we went back to Grandma's and he walked in the front door and out the back and barfed all over the ground, where Obama (the dog) ate the barf.  My poor baby wasn't feeling good but he came back inside to do the white elephant gift exchange but just felt sick.  Scott left and when he got home barfed a couple of times and was starting to actually feel good.  He wanted to come back down for games but he fell asleep, which was the best thing he could have done.

While he was sleeping, I was playing games with my cousins until 11pm.  It was so fun.  Pounce got a little crazy but we all know who won : ).  That would be Jill and I!  It was an awesome night.

The next day Scott was feeling 100 percent better,  I guess this bug has been going around with symptoms like the flu.  A couple days later my dad got it.

Christmas break was so much fun and a much needed trip!!  I love my family so much and it was good for them to hangout with Scott.  Jill hung out with us ALL day our last day and it was so much fun!  I LOVE MY FAMILY.
