End of October

This month has been so busy!  My mom was in town for a week, I sold a butt load of potatoes, which also included multiple trips to Circleville during the week, and then my parents came into town this past week as well.  I have a new calling at church.  Scott and I are released from our CTR 5 class and I got called into a stake position as an assistant in the womens' sports program.  Right now we are at the end of our volleyball season.  It is tournament time, double elimination, before regions.  Hopefully we make it to regions.

I can't believe it is almost November!  This time of year is always so busy.  Thanksgiving in Circleville this year and Christmas in CALI!!!  I am so excited to have Christmas at home and my grandparents house.  It is an alllll day event!  I mean we get to my grandparents house at about 7:30 in the morning for a huge breakfast then go home around 10, then we all come back around 2 or 3 and leave around midnight haha.  I am excited.  I will also be flying home for December 16th.  I can't believe my sister has been gone for 10 years this December.  I miss her so much.  People always say it gets easier, and it does in a way, but I still miss her so much.  I am glad I have Scott by my side because I do still have my break downs.  I always just wonder who she would be.  Who would she be married too?  Would she have kids? How many?  Where would she live?  This time of the year is especially hard.  I am so glad I am close to my family.  They mean the world to me!  I am also glad I married into a good family.  I am pretty blessed and I am very thankful every day!

So this month I have bought drapes for my house. I still need to hem and iron them.

Also my dad brought me part of our entertainment center I asked him to build.  He is awesome!  He made this in a day.  He is still going to make bookshelves and then a top where we will put our dvd player and cable box.  When he got to Utah I helped him sand it down and then Scott and I helped him stain it all.  It was so much fun and it looks so good! I told him he needs to sell his work.  He likes to do more custom stuff for people so here is free advertising.  He does some awesome stuff!

This is also a new addition to our living room.  It is called "The Elk Hunter"  aka scott!  When I saw it i just had to get it.  Hopefully next year he will get one. haha.

Date day- out shooting

So today, October 6th, it snowed!!  It was only 40 degrees all day except when the sun came out it got up to 46 wahoo, but when the wind blows it doesn't make a difference.  Scott only worked an 8 hour day, which stinks but was awesome because we got to go out and go shooting.  I have 1 gun, it is a 17, and Scott has 3, well 3 at our house.  He has a 9mm, a 22 revolver which also converts into a 22 mag, longer bullet, and then he has a 22. We drove out into the field behind our house and set up our targets.  It was so fun but freezing.

Ok, so I was shooting Scott's new revolver and he switched it to 22 mags and that thing is so loud my ears hurt so bad, so I automatically went and put in my ear plugs.  Tonight when I was reffing the volleyball game every time I blew the whistle it killed my ears.  That gun was so loud and you wouldn't think it would be.  I hope to take hunter safety soon so I can go hunting with the boys and actually be able to CARRY a gun haha.  I bet even with it they still won't let me : )

                                                                    I love him so much!!
He loves his new gun and I have to admit I do too.

Home Decor, Slow and Steady

I am starting to decorate my house.  It is slow and steady and I get A.D.D and can't finish one room at a time.  This past week my mom was in town and we just shopped and shopped.  A lot of our shopping trips also included just getting ideas.  I didn't want to spend all my potato money haha.  But I think I am to a good start.  Like I said, slow and steady.
this is my front door decoration that I bought at Quilted Bear ( I love that store).  It is so cute but when it gets windy, which is often does, I have to take it down or it sounds like someone is knocking.
I bought the vinyl sign Families are Forever to go over our pictures in our living.  This wall is near our front door. Quilted Bear
Laundry Today or Naked Tomorrow.  Scott said I do the more naked tomorrow because 'I just love doing laundry' haha.  My laundry room is at the top of my stair case.  I love having it upstairs, it does make it easier to do laundry, but it just isn't fun to fold them and put them away.  Rod Works

My guest bathroom upstairs.  I love it!  I love love love the shower curtain.  I need to get a new shower rod and I am going to get something for the wall above the towels and toilet, or maybe just above one of them.  I don't know we will see.  But I still need to get a candle to go in the candle holder that I love.  The shower curtain is Black and Cream and my mom and I felt red was only the best choice : )  I love it.  Kohls and Hobby Lobby
Our coat hanger I got at hobby lobby.  It is hanging near the door to the garage.
Bought this at Rod Works.  It is hanging between my pantry and a closet in my kitchen.
These two cute pieces are going to go on my entertainment center when my dad builds it and brings it out to us.  I bought one and my mom bought the other one from Quilted Bear.
