So yesterday I had a check up with my doctor and he said everything was good and healthy with the baby and myself. I take my gestational diabetes test, in 2 weeks, before my 30 week appointment. I told my doctor I was going to California, while I was 30 weeks pregnant, and he said I should be fine as long as I wasn't having labor symptoms. He also told me other things that could go wrong with traveling that far along, not to scare me, but to educate me and open my eyes. When I left I had concerns with traveling but I pushed them off. Melissa Burk said she would ride home with me and everything was good to go. I have just been so worried about it the travel since my appointment. The fear of something happening and being stuck somewhere without Scott for weeks or months scared me. If I had to deliver early and I was at my moms house I would go to her hospital and I would be fine but I would be stuck in California without Scott for weeks. I still kept brushing it off because I really wanted to get home and have a baby shower. I was talking to my mom, in the Walmart parking lot, and I asked what she thought about me traveling at 30 weeks. She said I should be fine but if something happened on the drive or when I got home, to her house, I could be stuck for weeks or months. She was like "what if something happened in the middle of Nevada? You wouldn't know any of the doctors. If the baby came that early, would they have all the right stuff to help your baby girl?"
I broke down crying, yes I am a disaster. : ) She was like Krista it sounds like you have fears and concerns already. I told her I do but I was trying to brush them off because I wanted to get home and I didn't want to tell them we needed to post pone my baby shower. I was really excited for my shower out there. My sister and I picked out adorable invites and I was excited to come home. My mom was like I have had concerns ever since you told me Scott wasn't coming with you, so I support you not coming out right now. I asked if we could do the baby shower after the baby comes and she said that was a fantastic idea! Then everyone can see my sweet baby girl, that won't be able to come see her after she is born. I sucked up my tears and I felt so much better. I just love talking to my mom! Then, I called my sister and she was like Krista it is just a baby shower and we can do it later. I love her!
I really like that I will have a shower after the baby comes because not everyone will be able to come see our baby after she is born out here in Utah. I feel so much more relaxed now. I just don't want to be away from Scott. This is our first child and I just want him by my side! But for all my California friends I will be coming out most likely in July after the 4th. I can't wait!!

25 Weeks
Tomorrow I am officially 25 weeks!
I can't believe how fast but slow it goes. I've been talking to my mom and sister a lot this week, getting ready for my baby shower in California, and I was all I have plenty of time still and they reminded me that I really don't. January will go by fast and then my baby shower in February and then I swear March will fly by and then BAM it is April. I am due April 19th, so really the baby can come early or late. No one knows. I need to deep clean my house, try to make some of my DIY stuff I want to make for our baby girl (which includes the crib bedding) and then clean out the nursery that is now my sewing room. My sister helped me with my baby registry over the phone and then today we narrowed down and picked out the baby invitations. My sister knows me pretty well : ) I am so happy my mom and sister are planning this shower for me. Can't wait to come home one last time before the baby comes.
My mom just let me know today that she is planning to come out the day before I am due and will stay around 10 days or longer if possible and if needed. I am so excited because she will be able to help me so much with the baby, with me getting some rest and with her being a labor and delivery nurse she will be able to help me with any questions in person instead of over the phone. She will also help me with breast feeding if I am having problems. She is excited because she is taking a course at work before the baby comes that will be helpful for me. I am so blessed. She said if I want my own personal time she will just go to my brothers house. But how awesome will it be to have some help if I needed it. A girl always needs her momma!
A few days ago Scott was finally able to feel our baby girl move. It took him a few minutes but then she gave us a big kick and he was all "was that it"! he was so excited and I was so excited as well. He was all " What the heck is she doing?" haha. She just rolls around and kicks. New Years day she had the hiccups. It was kinda funny. At first I wasn't sure what she was doing and then it kept going. I looked it up and yep it was hiccups. I figured it was but wasn't sure if I was far enough along to feel it.
I am loving being pregnant. Sometimes I don't get a bunch of sleep but lately I have been sleeping ok, just takes me awhile to get to bed. I am feeling pretty good though. Some days better than others but I am pretty happy and just excited that the baby moves so much more because it is the coolest feeling! I am just so happy we are starting a family! I love Scott so much and I am blessed for all he does and that he works so hard so that I don't have to work. I can't wait to be a stay at home mom.

December Adventures
December has been a good month and a bad month. December 10th we found out we are having a girl and couldn't be more excited! Monday, the 17th, I woke up not feeling well and I was like " Scott I'm going to barf".... and I rarely barf. Well, I fell asleep and woke up an hour later and barfed, a lot! From Monday to Friday I could barely hold anything in. My sister told me to eat Lipton Noodle Soup and I must say, it is pretty dang good! I lost a good amount of weight. I was really worried to drive across the desert being sick but I kept my food down all Saturday and I have still kept it down. It was a bad virus. I don't know how some pregnant people barf during their whole pregnancy. One week with a virus about did me in. I can't eat Hibachi Grill anymore. Well, at least not right now. That was the last thing that came up and it was horrible. I am so glad I have had a good pregnancy so far.
Saturday, the 22nd, Scott and I woke up at 3:20 and got on the road to California. The weather wasn't bad until we got to Fernley and then Scott had to take over the wheel. We hit the storm when we got to Cabelas on the west side of Reno. We got to Truckee and waited for 45 minutes before they let another group of cars go over the pass. There are a bunch of idiots who were on the mountain with us. When there is 6 plus inches of snow on the road you should take a chill pill and just drive safe but not everyone understands that. It took us 11 hours to get to my parents house. It wasn't that bad. Scott was also a trooper letting me stop every couple of hours to stretch and go to the bathroom. He loves me!
Our trip home to California was so much fun! We didn't do anything to crazy, since it rained every day, but we sure enjoyed each others company. It was fun going to church with my whole family and seeing people I haven't seen in a long time. Christmas Eve was a blast. I saw Sara and Rachel which was wonderful. Scott bought an Ipad. Merry Christmas to him! He deserves it. My mom and sister prepared and awesome dinner. After dinner we went to go see Desi and take a family picture. Desirae's tree was sure beautiful! When we got back to our parents house we opened presents, since my Mom and Joe were scheduled to work Christmas Day. I actually really enjoyed opening presents Christmas eve because afterwards we relaxed and played games. Pictionary was so funny! There was a challenge dice so sometimes we had to draw with our eyes closed or in a continuous line and with the opposite hand. It was so funny.
Christmas Day we slept in a little longer than we ever do, since we opened presents on Christmas Eve. We then went to Grandma and Grandpas for Christmas breakfast and then back home to relax and clean up. Back to Grandma and Grandpas by 3:30 for dinner, presents, and telling stories. My dad read the story of the Christmas Train and it was really fun to sit around the living room listening to my dad. My mom never had to go into work and neither did Joe so it was nice to have them there for Christmas. My dad has us all tell our favorite stories and presents we remembered. I will admit I wanted to cry a couple of times but held it together. I just love my family. We opened presents and then the adults did our white elephant gift exchange. I had some good presents and I kept getting them stolen from me but I ended up with some awesome knifes, which I need. We put our hand prints in my Grandparents bathroom which was really fun. I love my family! Scott and I hung out a little bit longer then said our good byes so that we could go pack and relax. The day at Christmas we were back on the road to Utah. We were worried about going over the pass but it was actually not bad and got really sunny in Truckee. Winnemucca to Utah was a different story. It had its moments of bad road. It took us 12 hours to get home and it was so nice to get out of truck when we got home. Also, our awesome neighbors shoveled our driveway! There was a lot of snow at our house so it made unpacking the truck easier since it was shoveled.
We had an amazing month of December and an amazing Christmas vacation. I love Scott and I appreciate him taking time off work to get me home. I have missed my family and I am blessed that we have technology and are able to keep in contact easier. I love you all so much! See you in February, I will be 30 weeks pregnant so get ready for the belly haha!

It's a GIRL!
Today we found out that we are having a girl! Our due date is April 19th and it really hit us now that we saw an actual baby inside me and not a blob. WE ARE HAVING A BABY! we are so excited. We haven't picked a name and we haven't really talked much about names but now we will start planning for our little bundle of joy. She was pretty active during our ultrasound. She sure wanted us to know she was a girl. She stuck her tongue out a few times and when the tech was looking at her heart she started to wiggle, she finally stopped long enough for the tech to look at the heart. Before I knew I was pregnant I had a dream I had a baby boy. At 6 weeks I had another dream about the same baby boy but a month older. I always thought I would have a boy. After week 10 I didn't really have a feeling anymore. These past few weeks I just had a feeling it would be a girl but I would have been happy either way. I am so excited to see Scott hold his little girl in his arms. I have a feeling she will wrap her daddy around her little finger when she is born. I can't believe we are having a girl. She is such a blessing already and I can't wait for the weeks to come.

16 weeks and 3 days
I had my 16 week appointment today and the baby and I are healthy and moving right along. The past week I haven't been feeling good but it is worth it! I love being pregnant and I am excited for this adventure.
Scott and I get to find out what we are having in December! We are so excited. My doctor is out of town for my 20 week check up so I am waiting until 21 weeks which is fine with me... What will one more week hurt.
I am not sure if I have felt the baby move yet. Sometimes I feel something but not sure if it is the baby or just my stomach. haha but when I do feel the baby and know it, it will be the craziest thing ever! I can't wait to feel the baby move : )
I am loving maternity jeans! I just love the stretch, they are super comfy. (Thanks mom for my pants)
I don't really crave much but certain things just sound better than others. When I look for new recipes online and I haven't had anything to eat I get sick and want to barf.
The past few days I have been getting a lot of rest. Which is weird because I usually stay up late and sleep in but I have been going to bed at a normal hour and I wake up at 7ish with Scott and I am up all day. I get so much done!
